April showers bring May flowers! And is also good luck on your wedding day! Cody & Flossie said I do last weekend and other than a dreary, rainy day - everything was perfect! We embraced the rain though and had a few mins to capture some shots outside the church with the bridal party and then again with just the bride and groom. I'm so happy we were able to get adorable umbrella portraits because earlier in the day it was nothing but wind and sidewards rain - even flooding! Flossie's stunning gown and flowers went perfect with Cody's gray tux and also matched the abandoned building we found.
Every little detail was amazing for this travel themed wedding! I met these two during their engagement session where we traveled to Kansas City and they told me all about their upcoming day and their love for traveling with one another. This unique wedding theme could be seen in everything - the flowers, invitations, centerpieces, wedding cake, and more! Probably the sweetest thing was seeing how much Cody loves Flossie, he was so nervous and excited for their first look which made it even more special and genuine. They also care a lot for their family and friends. During the ceremony, instead of a unity candle, they had a special plant and each of their families took part in pouring Missouri & Minnesota dirt in the pot symbolizing and uniting two families into one.
